Tooth Cavity or Decay

What is a Cavity?

It is a breakdown of tooth from acid, that was produced by the bad bacterias.

How do you get cavity ?

There are always bacteria in the mouth. Those bacteria prouduces acid from food or drink containg sugar and this acid dissolve the tooth structure and forms a hole or decay or cavity on the tooth.

How can you fix your cavity ?

Depending on the size and severity of the cavity, your dentist will decide to do fillings, or root canal treatment and/or crown or cap.

Most of dentist will make you numb with injection and use drill to clean decay and fill it with silver or white filling.

At Dr. Patel's office we do not use injection and drill as we uses the latest Waterlase i-plus to make tooth numb and clean decay. Then we use tooth colored filling to fill the tooth.
