National Nut Day is observed every year on October 22nd.Raw nuts have the most nutritional benefits.

 People who consumed nuts lived 2 -3 years longer than those who did not. Nuts are excellent source of Vitamin E, and B-2, Research has proved that nuts are rich in magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and selenium, all of them are very important nutrients for oral health.

By adding some nuts to your regular diet will give you healthy, long lasting beautiful smile, well-protected gums and teeth. Foods you consume is as important as brushing and flossing for your smile.  

Cashew nuts are very energetic food. It requires extra chewing that will increase saliva, that will wash away the bacteria and help to prevent cavities. Make a routine to eat cashews daily.

Peanuts are a great source of Calcium and Vitamin D that promotes health of your teeth and gums, so go for peanut butter sandwiches, shelled or unshelled, salted or unsalted peanuts.

Almonds are an excellent source of Calcium. By eating 12-15 almonds, you will get about 40-50 mg of calcium, that will help to get healthy teeth and healthy gum.

Walnuts are rich in plant protein, iron, niacin, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and zinc, all of them are very important nutrients for oral health.
